My name is My. I am a freelance translator/transcreator, editor, and copywriter. I have been a full-time freelancer for almost 20 years. I have an academic background in comparative literature and continuous education in journalism.

Up until 2015, I also freelanced as an on-the-ground fact-checker. That’s behind me now, though. You rarely make friends in that line of work, but you do make enemies.

As a freelance translator/transcreator and copywriter, I have worked with materials from some of the biggest brands, and over the years, I have developed strong linguistic precision and a cultural and analytical understanding of European markets and brand identities. I spent approximately 5 years living and working as a freelancer in Paris, developing cross-cultural and linguistic expertise.

My area of expertise is transforming (transcreating) nuanced English and French source texts into natural-sounding, high-converting Danish. I specialize in marketing material for high-end industries, including design, European wine, vineyards, gastronomy, tourism, and consumer tech (platforms, apps, e-commerce).

I am located in Denmark.
